Paix - Peace

Sometimes, no matter how much we try to blend with the materialistic world, we do capitulate to feelings and emotions. After-all, we are humans and not machines. Reading and music is therapeutic at times. well, at-least for me, it is. It is peaceful.
I like to read short stories, vaudeville, fiction, fantasy and so on. I grew up counting the fan mails my mom would receive for each and every article/story/poem she wrote. I always read articles/blogs that my mom has written and somehow I like them so much that I keep reading them again and again.  Recently I came across a haiku and it was very meaningful. So much of thought has been put into it. It is called a slaking song.
I also noticed that some writers keep writing about death a lot. Every story ends in death. Writing that she shot him, he shot her, she committed suicide, he fell off a tower, he/she had cancer and making others around you die, little do these people think about their own death, they never think about their own death because they are so busy in killing others in their stories...well, if you really want to feel death , then read the darkness and the flower.
Ever since I met didi, I'm a big fan and I idolize her and put my best efforts to become like her.Mastering music is not easy. It takes a lifetime to do so. But in our generation, the dedication to music cannot be given completely as we live in a very materialistic world.
However, I find solace in music and reading most of the time. What are yours?

Vintage letters

Letters were not just used for communication but it became an art also. The design of the letter took a uniform design when the British came to India and started ruling over. Even to this day in some villages of India, the post man or the teachers of the school should open the letter and read it. Today, some vintage letters are preserved in the families, in the Government offices, Parliaments and the collectors who fancy collecting vintage letters. I have preserved letters from Great grandfather and my GrandFather.  I feel that these vintage letters are some sort of treasure that I have. Funniest part is, it takes a long time to come to the matter itself because the starting two- three sentences is to be polite enquiries and whereabouts of each other and ending the letter used to be with elegant words. I will post some pictures of the ...
